After much anticipation, Hazie Maze is proud to announce the release of their sophomore album, Bring Us Together. With its sexy electro-funkmatic charisma, this album exemplifies the progress of the Maze with its fine tuned sound and a vast array of high energy synthesized dance beats, hip hop styling, and some new darker ambient grooves. This 2002 Boston Music Award Nominee band strikes again, and this time a lot harder!
The 10 songs on Bring Us Together contain layers of sound that increase the intensity of this studio album and bring out unique strengths in each of the seven talented band members. These band members include: the powerhouse lead vocalist Amee Jana, bass player DrewBud, keyboards/synthesizer player Chris Bingham, trombone player Chris Marson, Eric Brooks on tenor saxophone, Ty Osborne on drums & percussion, and former member Max Crystal on guitar.
Bring Us Together will be available for purchase in various locations within the Northeast including Newbury Comics, CD Spins, Tower Records, and on-line at CdBaby.com. As always, the Maze will be touring all over the East Coast in support of this new album. The band will be celebrating their CD release party at the House of Blues in Cambridge MA on Friday, December 6th, 2002.
Hazie Maze's raw energy on stage has been highly acclaimed since their first show in 2000. They have been eager to release an album for their fans that represents this same quality of musicianship, unique variation of song-writing, and simple fun-loving hooks that compels audiences to sing and dance along at shows. Fans have raved at the band’s ability to possess both an underground-funk sound and a heavier-jam sound - appealing to mainstream listeners as well as live band junkies. Their audience continues to grow with each performance because of this broad appeal.
Bring Us Together was recorded at the acclaimed Long View Studios in Brookfield, MA, where albums such as Aerosmith’s Get A Grip and Creed's Weathered were also recorded. The Maze spent about 60 hours at the studio laying down the basic tracks. The album was then finished at Waltz Studio in Boston, MA months later.
